Botox Injection

BOTOX® is a prescription drug that can eliminate fine lines and wrinkles from moderate to severe frown lines.

The injection also occurs directly into the muscles in the area between the brows is straightforward.

It functions by obstructing nerve signals going to the muscles that were injected.

As a result, lines that range from mild to severe in severity are reduced in muscular activation.

How Does Treatment Work?

In a typical BOTOX® treatment, the injection needles used are so thin; therefore, the level of pain is minimal. Most people might describe the feeling ranging from nothing to a bee sting. To ease any discomfort, a topical numbing cream may be applied to procedural areas. To prevent bruising, we advise patients to avoid using any blood thinner medications 2 days (48 hours) prior to BOTOX® treatment.

Who can get it done?

Candidates for BOTOX® are normally those with lines or creases that physically appear on their forehead, between their eyebrows, etc. Consultation must be required before treatment to determine the best solution for each patient’s condition.

What can be expected?

In as little as 2-3 days, results such as wrinkles and fine lines are decreased. Yet, some patients may not see results until approximately 1 week. The BOTOX® typically lasts between three and six months.

Are there side effects?

Common side effects include headaches, swelling, pain, and redness at injection areas within 24 hours of BOTOX® injection.
