Body Sculpting & Skin Tightening

What is TightSculpting®?

Fotona TightSculpting® is a unique dual-wavelength, non-invasive laser treatment for sculpting and skin tightening on all body areas. The exclusive delivery modes are used in concert for hyperthermic adipocyte destruction and collagen remodeling with exceptional results. The procedure is a fast, safe and effective non-invasive alternative to laser lipolysis, with no consumables or downtime required for your patient.

How does it work?

Dual-wavelength laser procedure combining unique PIANO® and SMOOTH® technologies for deep as well as superficial skin tightening and fat reduction.

Step One: Use PIANO® Pulses for deep skin tightening and cellulite reduction.

The unique ultra-long Nd:YAG pulse mode is designed to comfortably, safely, and quickly evenly heat tissue through concentrated energy delivery, thereby stimulating the metabolism of subcutaneous fat cells while maintaining the integrity of the superficial skin. PIANO® mode extends the pulse duration to seconds, resulting in an overall full-thickness heating effect for a synergistic tightening effect.

Step Two: The second stage features the revolutionary non-ablative Er:YAG SMOOTH® mode, perfect for skin tightening.

Intense and controlled surface tissue heating stimulates collagen remodeling and initiates new collagen production, resulting in improved overall laxity and elasticity in the treated area.

How to Prepare For An Appointment

First, avoid strong sun exposure and tanning for at least four weeks before the procedure. This will help to reduce the risk of side effects such as skin irritation and blistering.

Second, avoid using any skin scrubbing or exfoliating products for at least two weeks before the treatment. These products can increase skin sensitivity and make it more difficult for the body’s skin tightening device to work effectively. Certain Antibiotics (ex. ciprofloxacin, doxycycline, levofloxacin, ofloxacin, tetracycline, trimethoprim) can cause photosensitivity. They are commonly prescribed for treating acne. You are advised to have laser treatment two weeks after stopping your antibiotic treatment.

Thirdly, be sure to hydrate your skin well in the days leading up to the procedure. Drink plenty of water in the days leading up to your appointment, and avoid alcohol or sugary drinks. This will help to ensure that your skin is healthy and ready for treatment. By following these simple tips, you can help ensure that your body’s skin tightening treatment is safe and effective.

Finally, please wear comfortable clothes that are easy to take on and off for your own convenience.

Here’s what you can expect on the day of your appointment:

First, your skin will be cleansed to remove any oils or lotions. We might need to shave certain areas as well. Next, the area being treated will be marked with a pen. Once the area is ready, the technician will apply the laser handpiece to your skin and start the treatment. The laser energy will heat the deeper layers of your skin, causing collagen production to increase. You may feel a warm sensation during the treatment, but it should not be painful.

Afterward, your skin may be red and swollen, but this should subside within a few hours. You can expect to see results within a few weeks as collagen continues to build, and optimal results after 3-6 months. To maintain results, you may need occasional touch-up treatments.
